NLO spectroscopy of Biological Interfaces
We are located in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, AB. Our multidisciplinary work extends to a variety of areas including DNA amplification and detection, surface chemistry, geochemistry and petrochemistry. A large focus in our group is on the exciting and unusual properties of interfaces, relating to cell surface interactions, DNA sensors, heterogeneous catalysis and oil sands waste treatment. Please see our Research page for more information.
Enthusiastic scientists at the undergraduate, graduate, or postdoctoral level interested in multidisciplinary research are welcome to join our group. Feel free to contact Dr. Gibbs with any questions.
